Discover Ghost Tree Grill, a coastal culinary destination located at 57744 Round Lk Rd, Bandon, OR 97411, United States. As a food blogger passionate about uncovering memorable local dining experiences, I found Ghost Tree Grill in Bandon to be a standout among the best restaurants in Bandon, offering not just exceptional food but one of the most breathtaking oceanfront settings on the Oregon coast.
Ghost Tree Grill specializes in Pacific Northwest cuisine with a refined yet approachable touch, highlighting fresh, locally sourced seafood and seasonal ingredients. The menu reflects a thoughtful balance between elevated comfort food and chef-driven creations. Entrées typically range from $18 to $40, positioning it as a mid-to-upscale dining experience that delivers strong value considering the quality and location. Whether you're visiting for a casual lunch or a sunset dinner, Ghost Tree Grill provides a well-rounded menu alongside a curated selection of wines and craft cocktails.
Among the signature dishes, the Dungeness Crab Cakes are a must-try—perfectly crisp on the outside, tender and flavorful within, served with a zesty house aioli that enhances the natural sweetness of the crab. The Grilled Salmon, another highlight, is cooked to perfection with a delicate char and paired with seasonal vegetables that bring both color and balance to the plate. For meat lovers, the Ribeye Steak delivers a rich, juicy bite, complemented by thoughtful seasoning and expert preparation.
Customer reviews consistently reinforce the restaurant’s reputation. One guest shared, “The view alone is worth it, but the food absolutely exceeded expectations.” Another noted, “Hands down one of the best restaurants in Bandon—fresh seafood, great service, and an unforgettable atmosphere.” These testimonials align with my own experience, where both service and quality were consistently impressive.
The ambiance at Ghost Tree Grill is truly its defining feature. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of the rugged Oregon coastline, creating a serene yet dramatic backdrop. The interior design is modern and elegant, with warm wood tones and subtle coastal accents that enhance the natural beauty outside. Outdoor seating is available, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the coastal breeze and scenery.
Amenities include attentive table service, reservations for peak hours, and a welcoming environment suitable for couples, families, or special occasions. While not overly formal, the setting leans toward upscale casual, making it accessible yet refined.
One minor consideration is that prices may feel slightly elevated for budget-conscious diners, but the combination of high-quality cuisine, service, and location justifies the cost.
For those seeking unforgettable local dining experiences, Ghost Tree Grill stands out as a must-visit. From expertly crafted dishes to stunning ocean views, it captures the essence of coastal Oregon dining. If you’re exploring Ghost Tree Grill in Bandon, prepare for a meal that satisfies both the palate and the senses.

“ Went here twice during our Bandon stop on the roadtrip! The wines were superb. Service was exceptional. My traveling companion did not enjoy their chicken, but appreciated the two desserts he had - raspberry chocolate mousse & mint chocolate ice cream. I enjoyed all my items, but thought the lemon meringue wanting for zest & the meringue had too much grit. ”
“ We arrived in Bandon a little later than expected, and the dog-friendly restaurant options open in town after 8pm are pretty slim. Fortunately for us, Ghost Tree Grill has a pet-friendly patio and their last seating is at 9:45! Our server, Jade, was phenomenal. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the town, the resort, and (obviously) the menu. We ordered the French onion soup, 16 oz ribeye, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and macaroni and cheese. The soup was full of flavor, the ribeye was great quality and cooked perfectly, and the sides were fantastic. The portions are quite large, so they are perfect for sharing. This restaurant is a little off the beaten path, but the road less traveled took us to a gem in the forest that we are sure to return to whenever we visit! ”
“ Had a reservation on Thursday evening 6pm and were seated promptly. There is a large bar in the middle of the restaurant with many large TVs but we sat at a table by the window which didn't give the feel of being in a sports bar. There is a large fire place and high ceilings. The flooring was beautiful looked like cork. Menu is straight forward with many steak options but also have salmon, shrimp, chicken and a pasta dish. Everything is a la carte but the sides can be shared amongst 3-4 people. The rib eye was cooked to perfection as was the tiger shrimp. Our server Corey was friendly and professional. Food came pretty quickly. I'm sure the grounds are beautiful but it was too dark to tell. ”
“ Very nice. Friendly staff, good food, fairly priced. Not busy at 5 when golfers are still out, but fills up fast - reservations recommended. ”
“ I recently dined at the Ghost Tree Grill at Bandon Dunes, and it was a culinary experience beyond compare. The raw bar offerings were fresh and indulgent, the steaks perfectly cooked, and the pasta dishes were a delight to the taste buds. The ambiance is impressive with its surroundings providing panoramic views of the Ghost Tree at the Old MacDonald golf course. Adding an extra layer of sophistication. The modern finishes and a large welcoming bar enhanced the overall atmosphere. Exceptional service truly elevated the dining experience, making Ghost Tree Grill a must-visit for those seeking an over-the-top culinary adventure. ”
“ Like the other review says, it sets the bar high. From the aesthetics of the dining room, bar and open kitchen, Ghost Tree Grill is amazing. The high ceilings and natural wood make for a warm welcoming atmosphere. We sat in the bar at a high top. Our servers were top notch and explained everything on the menu. We only had appetizers, but the dinners that were carried by looked amazing. We started with the charcuterie board and the ahi tuna Crudo. Both were excellent. The charcuterie board as NW and local ingredients. Both were awesome. The tuna a cold and delicate and the charcuterie board was warming. Next we had the pork belly and local purple uni. I’ll go back the uni any time any day! 6 stars! It was super cold, presented amazingly and the dish was the hit of the night. The pork belly was perfectly cooked. The mustard bbq sauce was a bit powerful, but combined with our left over charcuterie board Rogue Smokey Blue cheese it was still excellent (not all pallets are the same). We finished with the tres-leches German chocolate cake, sorbet and an espresso. Like everything else they were amazing. Cold where it should be and warm where it should be. No sugar or cream were needed for the espresso. It was perfect We will be back, but the next visit will be during daylight to see and enjoy the views of Old Macdonald and the Ghost Tree. ”
“ The best of the best. High ceiling with beautiful lighting and an open layout creates for a lovely ambiance. All the workers are extremely friendly and attentive, especially Lauren, our server who was a delight. Most of the items are locally sourced and of the highest quality. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the cauliflower is to die for. Also, the basque cheesecake is a must! ”
“ Can’t say enough great things. Great menu, prices, food, design, and service. We had all raw bar dishes, halibut, filet, Mac, Brussels, and bread. Everything was amazing. Reservations recommended, but you can also get a spot at the bar usually. We came in at 7:30 on a Friday and sat at the bar. Ryrie was very personable and gave great recommendations. ”
